Traces of German-writing Authors in the Czech Spa Towns
Abstract:
The thesis explores traces of German-writing authors in the Czech spa towns such as Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně. It describes their stay and its influence on the authors' lives and writings. It offers inside look not only at life and work of significant spa guests but also at history of an area called West Bohemian Spa Triangle.
Abstract:
Práce zkoumá stopy německy píšících spisovatelů v českých lázeňských městech, konkrétně v Karlových Varech, Mariánských Lázních a Františkových Lázních. Rovněž se zabývá otázkami, do jaké míry pobyt v lázních ovlivnil život těchto spisovatelů a zda ho nějakým způsobem reflektují ve svých knihách.
