Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou překladu souboru přednášek Bdělost, cesta k nesmrtelnosti theravádového buddhistického mnicha Ajahna Sumedha. Zaměřuje se především na srovnání překladu autora diplomové práce a překladu Jiřího Černegy a Antonína Konečného. Práce se zabývá problémy, které vyvstanou při překladu z anglického do českého jazyka.

The diploma thesis deals with the translation analysis of Mindfulness: The Path to the Deathless, the collection of talks given by Ajahn Sumedho, the Theravada Buddhist monk.
