The Christian Family Experience during the Liturgical Year

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o liturgickém roku. Předkládá nám odpovědi na otázky, v čem je vyvrcholení liturgického roku a co je srdcem liturgického roku. Poukazuje na rozmanitost slavení liturgického roku v křesťanské rodině, na různé tradice a lidové zvyky, které doprovází toto slavení. Předkládá historické základy, ze kterých vychází tradice liturgických slavení a jejich postupného utváření v dějinách. V práci se postupně zabývám všemi částmi liturgického roku, který začíná adventem, jako uznávaným začátkem liturgického roku a dobou, ve které se připravujeme na příchod Ježíše Nazaretského. Pokračuje Vánocemi, což je doba, kdy již oslavujeme příchod Ježíše, našeho Pána a Vykupitele. Dále v práci popisuji období tzv. liturgického mezidobí, doby postní, kterou chápeme jako přípravu na největší křesťanskou událost - velikonoční triduum, Boží hod velikonoční a tedy Kristovo velikonoční tajemství. Následuje doba velikonoční, jako doba doznívání té radostné události v srdcích každého křesťana a celé církve. O neděli v práci uvádím, že se jedná o připomínku Kristova velikonočního tajemství každý týden, a že tedy slavení neděle je tou nejvýznamnější událostí každého křesťana v rámci celého liturgického roku, neboť nám připomíná, že náš Pán Ježíš Kristus se za nás obětoval a trpěl na kříži, v tento den radostně vstal z mrtvých a vzbudil tak v našich srdcích nové světlo, novou naději. V práci uvádím, že do liturgického roku patří rovněž svátky svatých a druhá část liturgického mezidobí.

Abstract:

The liturgical year is the main topic of this diploma thesis. It answers the questions about the heart and the climax of the Christian year and describes the variety of the celebrations, customs and traditions that are associated with every single event of the liturgical year in the Christian family. The historical background standing behind such celebrations and their changing during the ages are depicted. All the events of the liturgical year are worked out in detail, starting with the Advent season, the real historical beginning of the biblical story of preparing for Jesus Christ's birth. Christmas is the next part, focusing on the birth of Jesus, the Lord, the Messiah, the Redeemer. The liturgical interim, the period of fasting before Easter is also mentioned and the thesis and the Christian holidays then come to their climax, which is the Easter time and namely the Easter Sunday. The importance of Sundays in the life of a Christian is then explained as the most important story in the Christian daily life, reminding people of the Easter secrets of Jesus Christ, his sacrifice and suffering of crucifixion and his resurrection and thus also of the rebirth of the new light and hope in the hearts of the Christians. The thesis finishes its circle of the liturgical year holidays by the second part of the liturgical interim and the saints' celebrations.
