Critical Thinking in Connection with Crisis Decision Making

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá stále aktuálnějším tématem v dnešní globalizované a dynamické společnosti založené na znalostech a informacích. Zkoumá vliv kritického myšlení, jehož úroveň je často brána jako ukazatel inteligence člověka, na uskutečněné rozhodnutí krizového manažera. Zvláště na jeho efektivitu, tedy jeho správnost, a v oboru krizového managementu i na rychlost jeho učinění. Práce vychází z poznatků behaviorální ekonomie, jako je ovlivnění myšlení člověka ve skutečném světě. Názorně vysvětluje rozdíl mezi rozvážným a pomalým kritickým myšlením, které je aktivováno až při určité minimální složitosti problému, a intuitivním myšlením, které reaguje okamžitě, podléhá zkreslení a nelze vypnout.

Abstract:

This work focuses on increasingly relevant issue in today's globalized and dynamic society based on knowledge and information. The work examines the influence of critical thinking, whose level is often seen as an indicator of human intelligence, on an implemented decision of a crisis manager - especially on it's effectiveness, i.e. the rightness, and also the speed of the implementation of a decision regarding the field of crisis management. The work is based on findings in the field of behavioral economics, such as the impact on human thinking in the real wolrd. It demonstrates the difference between careful and slow critical thinking, which is activated with regards to the certain minimal complexity of a problem, and intuitive thinking, which is activated instantly, and is susceptible to distortion and cannot be stopped.
