Cultural and social diversity in an international IT company (Diversity Management)

Abstract:

Diversity Management nebo-li řízení diverzity v organizacích se stává stále častěji žhavým tématem nejen na poli personálního řízení organizací, ale i tématem pro obecnou veřejnost vůbec, neméně pak tématem pro oblast sociální pedagogiky. Teoretická část se zabývá shrnutím informací a poznatků o managementu a leadershipu v obecné rovině, následně se práce věnuje tématu personálního řízení a závěr tvoří široká kapitola, která popisuje dosavadní teorie a poznatky o konceptu Diversity Management. Empirická část je realizovaná kvalitativní výzkumem, metodou komparace - srovnání tří společností, které působí v oboru informačních a komunikačních technologií a jejich přístupem, činnostmi a strategiemi v zavádění konceptu Diversity Management. Stejně jako na vývoj moderních technologií je kladen čím dál větší důraz na rozvoj manažerských disciplín. Jednou takovou je právě Diversity Management.

Abstract:

Diversity Management in organizations is becoming increasingly hot topic not only in the field of personal management, but also the topic for the general public at no less then subject to social pedagogy. The theoretical part deals with summary information and knowledge of management and leadership in general, then the work is devoted to the topic of personal management, in the end of the theoretical part there is wide section describing current theories and knowledge about the concept of Diversity Management. The empirical part is conducted qualitative research, by comparison of the three companies that operate in the field of information and communication technologies and their approach to activities and strategies in implementing the concept of Diversity Management. As well as the development of modern technology is put more and more emphasis on the development of management disciplines. Discipline of such a one is precisely Diversity Management.
