The value of travel time savings in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce „Hodnota úspor cestovního času v České republice“ je odhad množiny těchto hodnot v osobní železniční dopravě v závislosti na parametrech pohlaví, věku, příjmů a účelu cesty za pomocí modelu binární logistické regrese. V teoretické části je shrnuto několik vybraných studií ze současnosti a interpretovány jejich výsledky. V praktické části je nejprve popsána metoda sběru a zpracování vstupních dat. Konečné výsledky jsou v závěru porovnávány navzájem mezi sebou a s dosavadními poznatky z oboru.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “The value of travel time savings in the Czech Republic” is to estimate a set of these values in the sector of personal railroad transport depending on the parameters of gender, age, income and purpose of journey and using the binary logit model. In the theoretical part, there is a summary of several contemporary studies with its results. In the practical part, there is a description of the methodology of the data collection and analysis and, finally, the results compared with the latest findings and mutually as well.
