The Regulatory Quality and the Czech Republic Competitiveness

Abstract:

Regulace má za cíl zlepšovat výkon jednotlivce, ale také organizace a pomáhat v realokaci zdrojů a tím následně podpořit růst ekonomiky. Správně prováděná regulace má pozitivní efekt na růst ekonomiky – na růst HDP (nebo HDP na osobu). Má to však i zápornou stránku, tj. regulace je nákladná a náklady spojené s regulací jsou také klíčové pro konkurenceschopnost země. V případě, kdy je regulace nastavena špatně, jsou špatné podmínky pro podnikání, klesá výkon ekonomiky a tím konkurenceschopnost země. Cílem mojí práce je analýza vztahu mezi kvalitou regulace a konkurenční schopností české ekonomiky, se zaměřením na druhy regulace, které se týkají oblasti obchodu a podnikání. Následně pak s doporučením pro praktickou hospodářskou politiku v České republice v oblasti regulace (deregulace).

Abstract:

The aim of the regulation is improving of individuals and organizations performance. It helps in re-allocation of resources and supports economical growth. Effective regulation has positive impact on economical growth , GDP growth (or GDP per capita). However, there is a negative aspect, i. e. the regulation is expensive. Regulations costs are key factor for country competitiveness. Conditions for business are not positive having wrong regulation. Countrys performance declines together with competitiveness. The aim of my thesis is an analysis of regulatory quality relationship and the Czech Republic competitiveness. I will focus on sorts of business regulation. The thesis will contain recommendation to economic policy in the Czech Republic. What is more important – regulation or deregulation to Czech economy?
