The Ballet Scenography of Vojtěch Štolfa in the State Theatre in Brno (1957-1987)
Abstract:
Scénografické dílo Vojtěcha Štolfy (1921-2002) se pojí především se Státním divadlem v Brně (dnešní Národní divadlo Brno), pro které pracoval v období 1951-1989. Realizoval zde přibližně dvě stovky jevištních výprav, s převahou práce pro operu a balet. Tato práce se zaměřuje na baletní scénografii, kterou se snaží začlenit do kontextu celé Štolfovy scénografické tvorby.
Abstract:
The scenographic work of Vojtěch Štolfa (1921-2002) is related mainly to the State Theatre in Brno (today’s National Theatre Brno). He worked for this theatre from 1951 until 1989 and created approx. two hundred scenic designs there. He cooperated mostly with the opera and the ballet. This thesis is focused on the ballet scenography in context of the whole Štolfa’s scenographic work.
