Anxiety of students at vocational school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá úzkostí žáků na střední odborné škole. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, a to teoretické a praktické. Cílem teoretické části je nejprve charakterizovat pojmy úzkost, strach, stres, fobie a tréma. Jsou vzpomenuty příčiny úzkosti, projevy v životě, i ve škole. Jako poslední se teoretická část zabývá způsoby zvládání úzkostných stavů, ale i tomu, jak mohou rodiče a učitelé žákům pomoci. Poznatky byly čerpány z odborné literatury a odborných časopisů, které byly řádně prostudovány, poté proběhla analýza, srovnání a syntéza.Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit, v jaké míře se vyskytuje úzkost u žáků v souvislosti se školou a zmapovat, jaké příznaky žáci nejčastěji pociťují a jaké strategie žáci používají, aby se vyrovnali s úzkostí na středné odborné škole. Prů-zkumné šetření bylo prováděno kvantitativní formou, kde byla využita metoda dotazníku. Průzkumným souborem byli žáci ze střední odborné školy v Brně. Vý-sledky dotazníkového šetření byly shrnuty do přehledných tabulek a grafů a poté interpretovány. Výstupem je doporučení pro pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals the anxiety of students at vocational school. It consists of two parts, i.e. theoretical and practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to define terms as anxiety, far, stress, phobia and nervousness. The cause of anxiety, the manifestation in real life and at school are addressed too. The last development of the theoretical part is dedicated to the ways of handling these anxious states, but also to the ways the parents and teachers can help the students. The findings are gained from the specialized literature and magazines that were studied carefully. The analysis, comparison and synthesis follows. The aim of the practical part was to discover to what extent the anxiety among students appears relating to school and to map what symptoms the students experience the most and what strategies students use to cope with anxiety at voca-tional school. Quantitative survey was conducted and the questionnaires were used for that purpose. The sample of respondents were the students of secondary vocational school. The results of questionnaires were summarized into clearly arranged tables and graphs and further the results were interpreted. The output is in the form of recommendations for the pedagogical teaching practice.
