The Legacy of T. G. Masaryk for Social Pedagogy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na život a pracovní odkaz T. G. Masaryka. Cílem teoretické části je seznámit čtenáře s pracovními aktivitami T. G. Masaryka souvisejícími se sociální pedagogikou a emancipací žen ve společnosti. Práce je zaměřena zejména na období, kdy působil jako vysokoškolský učitel, a následně na dobu, kdy vykonával prezidentskou funkci. Přezdívalo se mu "prezident osvoboditel". Právě v tomto období před výkonem své funkce se zabýval problematikou společnosti a angažoval se myšlenkami sociální pedagogiky a dalších oborů. V praktické části se zabývám analýzou myšlenek a úvah v dílech, které s jeho pracovními aktivitami souvisí. Jedná se zejména o jeho spisy a dostupné audio projevy.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the life and work legacy of T. G. Masaryk. The aim of the theoretical part is to acquaint the reader with the work activities of T. G. Masaryk related to social pedagogy and emancipation of women in society. The work is mainly focused on the period when he worked as a university teacher and subsequently on the period when he held the presidency. He was nicknamed the "President Liberator." It was in this period before performing his function that he dealt with the issues of society and engaged in the ideas of social pedagogy and other disciplines. In the practical part we deal with the analysis of ideas and reflections in works related to his work activities, especially his writings and available audio expressions.
