Microregional differentiation of reproductive and family behaviour in districts of the Czech Republic in the period 2010-2019

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rodinou, rodinným a reprodukčním chováním. Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit reprodukční a (pro)rodinné chování obyvatel prostřednictvím analýzy relevantních statistických dat. Dále identifikovat mikroregionální rozdíly a změny v tomto chování na úrovni okresů ČR v období 2010–2019 ve vazbě na vyplacené sociální dávky, podporující reprodukční chování obyvatel. Zjištěním práce je, že efektivní natalita není přímo úměrná objemu vyplacených sociálních dávek, které mohou ovlivnit reprodukční chování obyvatel, tj. přídavek na dítě, rodičovský příspěvek a porodné. Dále, že mezi lety 1991 až 2019 došlo k výrazným změnám v pozici okresů podle syntetického ukazatele R a okresy tedy nevykazují dlouhodobě prorodinné či nerodinné chování podle tohoto ukazatele. U okresů Vsetín, Hradec Králové a Trutnov došlo k významné negativní změně pozice podle syntetického ukazatele R a u okresů Brno-město, Praha-západ a České Budějovice naopak došlo k významné pozitivní změně.

Abstract:

The master‘s thesis is concerned with the topic of family, family and reproductive behavior. The objective of the master’s thesis is to evaluate the reproductive and (pro-)family behavior of residents through the analysis of relevant statistical data. Furthermore, the aim is to identify microregional differences and changes in said behavior on the level of districts in the Czech Republic in the time period from 2010 to 2019 in relation to paid social benefits, supporting the reproductive behavior of the residents. The findings of the master’s thesis report that the effective natality is not directly proportional to the magnitude of social benefits paid, which can influence the reproductive behavior of residents, e.g., child benefit, parental allowance, and maternity grant. Moreover, substantial changes have occurred in the stance of districts according to the synthetic indicator R between the years 1991 and 2019, and districts, therefore, do not report long-term pro- or anti-family behavior with respect to this indicator. In the districts of Vsetín, Hradec Králové, and Trutnov has been a significant negative change of stance according to the synthetic indicator R. However, in the districts of Brno-city, Prague-west, and České Budějovice transpired a significant positive change.
