Bakalářská práce se zabývá Nejvyšším kontrolním úřadem, který představuje jeden z orgánů kontroly ve veřejné správě. Nejprve se práce zaměřuje na pojem kontroly obecně, jejím členěním a historií kontroly. Dále práce obsahuje vymezení postavení Úřadu, jeho organizaci, proces kontroly jím vykonávané včetně mezinárodní spolupráce Úřadu.
