The coexistence of Islam and Catholic Church in France contemporary: their presence in the french society and a dialog

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to describe the actual coexistence of two world religions in France – Islam and the Catholic Church. The text is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the history of both of the religions. Next part deals with religious institutions and religious legislation especially the laicism. Further it describes problems and disagreements which stand between both of the religions and the society. The third part deals with interreligious dialogue, its progress and platforms where it takes place. The end of the bachelor’s thesis deals with agreements and disagreements that emerge from the discussion of these religions.

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat aktuální situaci koexistence dvou světových náboženství ve Francii – islámu a katolické církve. Práce je členěna do tří částí. První část se zabývá dějinami obou náboženství ve Francii. Následující část se věnuje jejich institucím a legislativě, která se jich týká, zvláště laicismu. Dále popisuje problémy a neshody, které panují mezi zmiňovanými náboženstvími a společností. Třetí část pojednává o mezináboženském dialogu, jeho vývoji a platformách, kde se uskutečňuje. V samém závěru jsou charakterizovány shody a neshody, které vznikají při diskuzi mezi uvedenými náboženstvími.
