The relationship between the interest rate and savings in European countries

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Vztah úrokové míry a úspor v evropských zemích“ se zaměřuje na identifikaci vztahu reálné a nominální úrokové míry a úspor domácností v evropských zemích a porovnání tohoto vztahu mezi rozvinutými a rozvojovými zeměmi. Pomocí empirických dat z evropských zemí jsou vytvořeny ekonometrické modely za účelem identifikace vlivu reálné a nominální úrokové míry, disponibilního příjmu, inflace a populační struktury obyvatelstva ve vybraných zemích. Tyto vlivy jsou poté porovnávány mezi vybranými evropskými zeměmi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis called “The relationship between the interest rate and savings in European countries” focuses on the identification of the relationship of the real and nominal interest rates on the household savings in the European countries and a comparison of this relationship between developed and developing countries. By using empirical data of the European countries, the econometric models are constructed in order to identify the effect of the real and nominal interest rates, disposable income, inflation, and population structure of the selected countries. Afterward, these effects are compared between selected European countries.
