Abstract:
Nukleární medicína je lékařský obor zabývající se jak diagnostikou, tak terapií chorob pomocí radioaktivních izotopů v otevřené formě (radiofarmaka), aplikovaných do těla pacienta. K medicínským účelům se tento typ izotopů začal používat v 50. letech 20. století. Právě kvůli radiofarmakům se nukleární medicína liší od metod využívajících ionizující záření. Abstract:
Nuclear Medicine is a medicine discipline dealing with the diagnosis and therapeutic use of radioactive isotopes in the open form (radiopharmaceuticals) applied to the patient's body. For medical purposes, this type of isotopes was used in the 1950's. Because of these effects, the patient has a certain radiation burden and it is dedicated to radiation protection for patients and workers.
