The opportunities to development of tourism in selected national park in Slovakia

Abstract:

The subject of the master thesis is the opportunities to development of tourism in selected national park in Slovakia, namely in the region of Pieninský National Park. The master thesis analyzes and examines the current state of tourism in the national park. The aim of the thesis is to improve the utilization of tourism potential in Pieniny National Park, based on an analysis of the environment and the theoretical knowledge. Secondary and primary data were used for the analysis. A hypothesis has been established that the majority of tourists visiting the Pieniny National Park are families with children and the main reason for visiting the National Park is primarily sports. Based on the research it was found that the national park has a rich cultural and natural potential but the weak point of this region is the lack of awareness of the services and options offered by the national park offer. It was also found that the use of leisure time in the national park is poorly covered mainly for families with children. Object that help create tourism are trying to fight this issue, but it's a long process. The master thesis is divided into three parts. Part of the work is an annex that helps to better understand the issue. The first part is devoted to the general description and division of tourism. The second part of the thesis focuses on analyzing the environment of the national park and collecting data to create a proposal for better utilization of the potential of region. The third part is devoted to suggestions to improve the deficiencies that were found in the creation of the master thesis

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce je rozvoj cestovného ruchu vo vybranom národnom parku na Slovensku, konkrétne v regióne Pieninského národného parku .Diplomová práca analyzuje a skúma súčasný stav cestovného ruchu v národnom parku . Cieľom diplomovej práce je na základe analýzy prostredia a teoretických poznatkov zlepšiť využitie potenciálu cestovného ruchu v Pieninskom národnom parku. K analýze boli využité sekundárne a primárne dáta.Bola stanovená hypotéza z ktorej bolo zistené, že prevažná časť turistov ktorý navštívia Pieninský národný park sú rodiny s deťmi a hlavným dôvodom návštevy národného parku sú predovšetkým športove aktivity. Na základe výskumu bolo zistené, že národný park ma bohatý kultúrny a prírodný potenciál no slabou stránkou tohto regiónu je nedostatočná informovanosť o službách a možnostiach, ktoré národný park ponuka. Ďalej bolo zistené, že využitie voľného času v národnom parku je slabo pokryté hlavne pre rodiny s deťmi. Subjekty ktoré napomáhajú vytváraniu cestovného ruchu sa snažia z touto problematikou bojovať, je to dlhý proces.Diplomová práca je rozdelená do troch častí. Súčasťou práce sú prílohy ktoré napomáhajú lepšiemu pochopeniu problematiky. Prvá časť práce je venovaná všeobecnému popisu a rozdeleniu cestovného ruchu. Druhá časť práce sa sústredí predovšetkým na analýzu prostredia národného parku a zber dát na vytvorenie návrhu pre lepšie využitie potenciálu daného regiónu. Tretia časť je venovaná návrhom slúžiacim k zlepšeniu nedostatkov ktoré boli zistene pri vytváraní diplomovej práce.
