Social work with persons in material need, from the perspective of a municipal social worker

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se tematicky zaměřuje na jednu z největších reforem sociálního systému, kterou naše novodobá společnost prošla v roce 2012. Cílem je zjistit, jak sociální práci s osobami v hmotné nouzi vnímají samotní pracovníci obcí, jak se změnila jejich práce zejména po reformě sociálního systému v roce 2012, která zásadním způsobem ovlivnila výkon sociální práce zejména s osobami v hmotné nouzi. Teoretická část je zaměřena aktuální legislativní vymezení hmotné nouze, včetně jednotlivých dávek. Popisuje vývoj sociálního systému s jednotlivými změnami od roku 1989, specifikuje sociálního pracovníka obce a nezbytná je také definice sociální práce, včetně jednotlivých metod užívaných sociálními pracovníky obce. Výzkumná část odhaluje vnímání změn uvedených v teoretické části sociálními pracovníky obce, zejména jak byli na reformu připravováni, jak změnila náplň jejich práce a složení klientely a jak vidí budoucnost sociální práce na obcích.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on one of the greatest reforms of the social system, which our modern society underwent in 2012. The aim is to find out how social work with persons in material need perceive municipal workers themselves, how their work changed especially after the reform of the social system in 2012, which fundamentally influenced the performance of social work especially with persons in material need. The theoretical part is focused on the current legislative definition of material need, including individual benefits. It describes the development of the social system with individual changes since 1989, specifies the social worker of the municipality and the definition of social work, including the various methods used by the social workers of the municipality. The research part reveals the perception of changes mentioned in the theoretical part by social workers of the municipality, especially how they were prepared for the reform, how they changed their work and the composition of their clientele and how they see the future of social work in municipalities.
