FemiNeglect. Gender Aspects of Art Mediation in High Schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá vizuální umění z pohledu genderové problematiky. Naznačuje příčiny časté absence žen v dějinách výtvarné kultury a představuje i hlavní proudy feministického umění. Věnuje se také významu a možnostem zprostředkování zmíněných témat studentům středních škol. Teoretickou analýzu, zaměřenou na oblast umění i na genderové aspekty zprostředkování umění, doprovází metodické zpracování tematického výukového modelu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis examines the visual arts from the perspective of gender issues. It indicates the causes of the frequent absence of women in the history of art culture and presents the main movements of feminist art. Furthemore, it deals with the importance and possibilities of mediating the mentioned topics to high school students. Theoretical analysis, focused on the field of art and gender aspects of art mediation, is accompanied by a methodical elaboration of a thematic teaching model.
