The issue of breaking the mining limits in term of municipalities and NGOs

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je posoudit problematiku případného prolomení limitů těžby hnědého uhlí z pohledu obyvatel města Horní Jiřetín a obce Černice. Významné aktivity vyvíjejí v této oblasti též některé nevládní neziskové organizace. V úvodních kapitolách je charakterizována sociálně-ekonomická situace okresu Most a závislost života jeho obyvatel na těžbě hnědého uhlí. Součastně jsou zde prezentovány negativní důsledky povrchové těžby na krajinu a osídlení oblasti. V další části bakalářské práce je věnována pozornost postojům municipálního managementu, občanů a nevládních neziskových organizací.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to assess the issue of possible breaking of limits for brown coal mining in terms of the inhabitants and the municipalities Horní Jiřetín and Černice. Some non-government organizations also pursue significant activities in this area. The introductory chapters characterize the socio-ekonomic situation in the Most district and the dependence of the inhabitants on brown coal mining. Simultaneously there are presented the negative consequences of surface mining on the landscape and the settlements in the area. The next part of my bachelor thesis is focused on the attitudes of municipal management citizens and non-government organizations.
