Abstract:

Machová, E. Vliv ceny tabákových výrobků na jejich spotřebu. Diplomová práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2024. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem ceny tabákových výrobků na jejich spotřebu, a to v období od roku 2004 do roku 2022. Analýza je zaměřena na použité tabákové nálepky pro cigarety, které poskytují informace o spotřebovaném množství cigaret během sledovaného období. Po provedení literární rešerše následuje praktická část, kde byly prostřednictvím dílčích výpočtů zjištěny elasticity poptávky. Výsledné elasticity se jevily převážně jako elastické, proto nebyla potvrzena ekonomická teorie, podle které je poptávka po cigaretách neelastická. V závěrečné části práce byla formulována doporučení pro daňovou politiku ČR.

Machová, E. The impact of tobacco product prices on their consumption. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2024. This diploma thesis deals with the impact of the price of the tobacco products on their consumption, between the period from 2004 to 2022. The analysis focuses on the used tobacco labels, which provides information about the consumed quan-tity of cigarettes during the period. After a literature review, the practical section follows. In the practical section were determined elasticities of demand. The resulting elasticities appeared predominantly elastic, thus not confirming the economic theory that posits the demand for cigarettes as inelastic. In the final part, recommendations for the tax policy of the Czech Republic were formulated.
