Preparation and properties of chalcogenide glasses doped with Pr\hindex{3+}

Abstract:

Prezentovaná disertační práce shrnuje výsledky studia skel systému Ga-Ge-Sb-Se dotovaných ionty Pr3+, jako materiálů s potenciálním využitím jejich luminiscence v infračervené oblasti spektra. Objemová skla byla připravena přímou syntézou z prvků v křemenných evakuovaných ampulích. Byly studovány hodnoty měrných hmotností, hodnoty charakteristických teplot (teplota skelné transformace, Tg, teplota krystalizace, Tx, teplota tání, Tm) a teplotní závislosti viskozit připravených skel. Struktura skel byla studována pomocí Ramanových spekter a absorpčních spekter získaných v daleké infračervené oblasti spektra. Elektronové přechody iontů Pr3+ v Ga-Ge-Sb-Se sklech byly studovány a popsány pomocí absorpční, emisní spektroskopie a měřením doby života exitovaných stavů z křivek zhášení luminiscence. Pravděpodobnosti přechodu zářivých spontánních elektronových přechodů mezi energetickými hladinami iontů Pr3+, doby života liminiscence, ?branching ratios? a kvantové účinnosti jednotlivých spontánních zářivých přechodů iontů Pr3+ byly stanoveny na základě Judd-Ofeltovy analýzy.

Abstract:

In this work, the Ga-Ge-Sb-Se glassy system doped with Pr3+ ions was studied as a perspective optical material with potential application of its luminescence infrared spectral region. The glassy properties samples synthesized by the melt-quenching technique from high-purity elements were obtained by quenching the ampoules with the melt in air. The density, characteristic temperatures of glass (temperatures of glass transition, Tg, temperature of glass crystallization, Tx, melting point of glass, Tm), temperature dependence of viscosity were studied. On the basic of the Raman spectra and far infrared absorption spectra of studied glasses was described structure of prepared glasses. Electronic transitions of Pr3+ ions in Ga-Ge-Sb-Se glasses corresponding to emissions in the infrared region were studied by means of absorption and emission spectroscopies and fluorescence lifetimes measurements. Transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes, branching ratios and quantum efficiencies of most of the emission transitions were estimated by a Judd?Ofelt analysis.
