Abstract:

Diplomová práce seznamuje se současným fenoménem sociálních sítí, které nově proměňují naše vnímání světa i sebe samých a zároveň podmiňují transformace komunikačních a interakčních způsobů, jakými se k sobě navzájem vztahujeme. Širší vhled do světa současných médií, které jsou neodmyslitelnou součástí každodenní reality našich studentů i nás samých, je zařazen z důvodů přiblížení forem modelujících naší percepci a kognitivní struktury. Dokud si neosvojíme komplexní gramatiku nových médií, budeme postrádat uvědomělý náhled na způsoby komunikace, kognice a vizuality převládající ve společnosti. Stěžejní částí práce je výtvarný projekt, snažící se o vytvoření alternativního, výtvarného komunikačního kódu v autentickém prostředí kybernetické sociální sítě a následné přiblížení důvodů, proč zjevně není možné rigidní, globálně rozšířené algoritmy tohoto systému výtvarným médiem proměnit.

Abstract:

This thesis introduces the current phenomenon of social networks, which are newly transforming our perception of the world and ourselves. They are also influencing the transformation of the ways we communicate and interact with each other. A broader insight into the world of contemporary media, which are an integral part of the everyday reality of our students and of ourselves as well, is integrated to illustrate the forms that shape our perception and cognitive structures. As long as we do not fully master the comprehensive grammar of the new media, we lack a conscious view of the ways of communication, cognition and visuality that prevail in society. The main part of this thesis is an art project aiming to create an alternative, visual communication code in an authentic environment of a cybernetic social network, subsequently clarifying the reasons why it is not possible to change the rigid, globally spread algorithms of this system through the medium of art.
