Bibliotherapy as a part of psychotherapeutic care in the Psychiatric Hospital in Kroměříž

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce popisuje význam a uplatnění biblioterapie v Psychiatrické nemocnici v Kroměříži. Je zaměřena na psychoterapii a její historický vývoj, formy, druhy psychoterapie a jejich využití v péči o hospitalizované pacienty. Představuje také další pomocné psychoterapeutické metody, jako jsou arteterapie, muzikoterapie nebo činnostní terapie - ergoterapie. Hlavní část práce pojednává o biblioterapii, přibližuje její historický vývoj a rozdělení, její prvky, metody, principy. Pozornost je věnována taktéž působení a účinkům četby, ať už individuálně či ve skupině. Dále se zaměřuje na představení zařízení Psychiatrické nemocnice v Kroměříži a na to, jak (a zda vůbec) zde probíhá individuální a skupinová biblioterapie. Cílem praktické části bakalářské práce je zmapování toho, jak je využívána biblioterapie v prostředí psychiatrické nemocnice, jakými způsoby zde probíhá a jak může být nápomocná v procesu terapie a péče o duši v rámci psychiatrické léčby. Biblioterapii představuje v kontextu psychoterapeutické a psychiatrické péče. Praktická část práce zkoumá na základě anonymního dotazníkového šetření mezi pacienty, interpretovaných rozhovorů s knihovnicemi a pozorování setkání s léčivými účinky knih pod vedením knihovníka, jaká je situace s biblioterapií v prostředí Psychiatrické nemocnice v Kroměříži. Zjišťuje aktuální stav, porovnává jej s minulostí, poukazuje na nedostatky, důležité předpoklady pro provozování biblioterapie, i preference respondentů, a ukazuje možnosti, jak by bylo možné biblioterapii v tomto prostředí uplatnit.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis describes the importance and application of bibliotherapy in the Psychiatric Hospital in Kroměříž. It focuses on psychotherapy and its historical development, forms, types of psychotherapy and their use in the care of hospitalized patients. It also presents other auxiliary psychotherapeutic methods such as art therapy, music therapy or occupational therapy. The main part of the thesis deals with bibliotherapy, presents its historical development and division, its elements, methods, principles. Attention is also paid to the effects of reading, both individually and in groups. Furthermore, it focuses on the introduction of the facilities of the Psychiatric Hospital in Kroměříž and how (and if at all) individual and group bibliotherapy takes place there. The aim of the practical part of the bachelor thesis is to map how bibliotherapy is used in the psychiatric hospital setting, in what ways it takes place there, and how it can be helpful in the process of therapy and care of the soul in psychiatric treatment. It presents bibliotherapy in the context of psychotherapeutic and psychiatric care. The practical part of the thesis explores the situation with bibliotherapy in the setting of the Psychiatric Hospital in Kroměříž on the basis of an anonymous questionnaire survey among patients, interpreted interviews with librarians and observations of encounters with the healing effects of books under the guidance of a librarian. It establishes the current situation, compares it with the past, points out the shortcomings, important prerequisites for practicing bibliotherapy, and the preferences of the respondents, and shows the possibilities of how bibliotherapy could be applied in this setting.
