Poetics of Characters in Adelheid by Vladimír Körner and in Boží duha by Jaroslav Durych

Abstract:

Tématem této práce je poetika postav ve dvou novelách o česko-německých vztazích po druhé světové válce – v Boží duze Jaroslava Durycha a v Adelheid Vladimíra Körnera. Tyto novely patří k nejlepším dílům s touto tématikou v české literatuře. Jaroslav Durych a Vladimír Körner nezobrazují své postavy černobíle na základě jejich národní příslušnosti, ale snaží se hledat hlubší příčiny neporozumění mezi oběma národy. Cílem této práce je zkoumat, jakým způsobem ve svých novelách Vladimír Körner a Jaroslav Durych pracují s postavami Čechů a Němců a co jimi zvolený přístup znamená pro celkovou poetiku děl. Interpretace obou novel jsou založeny na literárních teoriích Daniely Hodrové, Františka Všetičky, Shlomith Rimmon-Kenanové a Lubomíra Doležela. Při interpretování vycházíme ze tří hledisek: jak jsou postavy v textu prezentovány, jak ovlivňuje realizaci ženské postavy v textu skutečnost, že je vnímána z perspektivy jiné postavy (českého muže) a nakolik jsou postavy v textu poznatelné. Na základě zjištěných výsledků jsou narativní strategie obou autorů srovnány s cílem zjistit, jak problém česko-německých vztahů prostřednictvím svých postav oba autoři zobrazují.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the poetics of charackters in two long-short stories about czech-german relations. The theme of the both long-short stories is similar - a meeting of a czech man and a german woman shortly after the end of world war two in czech-german borderland. But the narrative strategies and the work with characters is in Adelheid by Vladimír Körner and in Boží duha by Jaroslav Durych quite different. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and to compare the both poetics of characters and then to learn, what is the benefit for the overall poetics of this long-short stories. The interpretation of charakters is based on literary theories of Daniela Hodrová, František Všetička, Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan and Lubomír Doležel.
