Operational degradation of motorcycle engine oil

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na provozní degradaci motorového oleje u čtyřdobých motocyklů a je rozdělena na dvě části. První část diplomové práce je zaměřena na teoretickou část, kde je popsána tribologie, maziva a mazací soustava.Experimentální část práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání degradace motorového oleje vlivem najetých kilometrů. Nejprve jsou popsány sledované motocykly a použité oleje. Jsou zde popsány výsledky naměřené hustoty, viskozity a obsahy jednotlivých látek vyskytujících se v olejích. Nakonec je provedena diskuze a srovnání výsledných trendů s jinými experimenty.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the operational degradation of engine oil in four-stroke motorcycles and is dividend into two parts. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical part, where tribology, lubricants and lubrication system is described.The experimental part of the work is focused on examineting engine oil degradation due to mileage. First, the monitored motorcycles and used oils are described. The results of measured density, viscosity and content of individual substances occurring in oils are described. Finally, a discussion and comparison of resulted trends with other experiments is performed.
