Abstract:

Práce zkoumá problematiku správy a řízení společností ve vedení společností. Hlavním zaměřením výykumu je zkoumání klíčových rozdílů v přístupu k řízení společností v členských státech EU a zemích mimo EU. Pro posouzení těchto rozdílů jsou zvažovány případy řízení společností ve dvou společnostech z automobilového průmyslu, jmenovitě Volkswagen (Německo) a Toyota (Japonsko). Závěry diplomové práce shrnují klíčové rozdíly v přístupech dvou společností k řízení společnosti a navrhují doporučení pro zlepšení jejich řízení. Závěry také poskytují přehled o obecnějších rozdílech v řízení společností v členských státech EU a zemích mimo EU.

Abstract:

The thesis investigates the issues of corporate governance in the management of companies. The main focus of the research is put on the investigation of key differences in the approaches to corporate governance in EU member states and non-EU countries. For evaluating such differences, cases of corporate governance in two companies from the automotive industries are considered, namely Volkswagen (Germany) and Toyota (Japan). The findings of the thesis summarize the key differences in the two companies' approaches to corporate governance, and suggest recommendations for both to improve their management. Also, the findings provide an insight of the more general differences in corporate governance in EU member states and non-EU countries.
