Tools for harmonizing family and professional life

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku slaďování rodinného a pracovního života, neboť obě tyto složky tvoří nezbytnou součást života každého člověka. Cílem je vymezit jednotlivé nástroje umožňující zharmonizovat život práce a rodiny, včetně legislativních norem, poukázat na rozdíly pozice ženy a muže v oblasti obstarávaní péče o rodinu a rozvíjení vlastního potenciálu. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny pojmy vztahující se k rodině a práci, zvláště jednotlivé transformace rodiny ve společnosti, dělba role ženy a muže v domácnosti, která je příčinou nevyváženosti mezi rodinou a pracovní sférou. Důraz je kladen i na určité neshody v oblasti budování kariéry u žen. Praktická část obsahuje výčet dat, získaných z dotazníkového šetření, které nástroje veřejnost pokládá za nejvíce či nejméně poptávané, případně, zda uplatňují svůj koncept k vytvoření nového doporučení přispívajícího k nalezení vhodného kompromisu v rámci work-life balance.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of reconciling family and work life, as both of these components form an essential part of every person. The aim is to define the various tools for harmonizing work and family life, including legislative standards, to point out the differences between the position of women and men in the field of family care and the development of their own potential. The theoretical part presents the concepts related to the family and work, especially the individual transformations of the family in society, the division of the role of women and men in the household, which is the cause of the imbalance between family and work. Emphasis is also placed on certain disagreements in the field of career building for women. The practical part contains a list of data obtained from a questionnaire survey, which tools the public considers most or least in demand, or whether they apply their concept to create a new recommendation contributing to finding a suitable compromise in the work-life balance.
