Use supercapacitors in traction drives.

Abstract:

Cílem mojí diplomové práce je návrh a dimenzace superkapacitoru pro reálný trakční pohon. Jako trakční pohon jsem zvolil trolejbus typ 28 Tr Solaris a to z toho důvodu, že se jedná o nový typ vozu MHD, který jezdí i v Pardubicích od roku 2008. Jeho technická data, výhody a nevýhody jsou uvedeny v kapitole 4. Pro návrh superkapacitoru jsem zvolil úsek mezi Pardubicemi (zastávkou Dubina sever) a Počapelské Chalupy, jejichž vzdálenost činí 2 200 m. Tím nasimuluji akční rádius trolejbusu, tzn. že trolejbus nebude v tomto úseku poháněn elektrickou energií získanou z trolejového vedení, ale bude využívat naakumulovanou energii v superkapacitoru, která bude dodávána z rekuperačního obvodu. V závěru této diplomové práce jsem provedl ekonomické zhodnocení výhodnosti superkapacitoru a Nikl?metalhydridové baterie NiMH, popřípadě zda by bylo ekonomicky vhodnější úsek pokrýt trolejovým vedením.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is the design and dimensioning of supercapacitors for real traction drive. As the traction drive I chose a type of trolley bus 28 Tr Solaris from the Skoda company because it is the latest type of vehicle stop that uses the third drive phase asynchronous motor so called traction engine III. generation, which also runs in Pardubice from tje end of 2008. His technical data, advantages and disadvantages are listed in Chapter 4 For the design I chose the stretch between Pardubice (Dubina north stop) and Počapelské Cottages, whose distance is 2200 m. I simulate the radius of trolley, ie. the trolley will not be powered with electric power obtained from overhead lines, but will use the accumulated energy in supercapacitor, which will be supplied from the heat recovery circuit. At the conclusion of this thesis, I made an economic evaluation of advantages of supercapacitors and Nickel-metalhydrid NiMH batteries, which I suggested as the other possible alternative solution of the accumulation of energy, or whether it would be economically preferable to cover the stretch with contact overhead line.
