Tvorba francúzskeho básnika Charlesa Baudelaira (1821-1867) sa dnes nepochybne radí k pokladom svetovej literatúry. S menom Charles Baudelaire sa tiež spája "udomácnenie" sa pojmu "droga" v literatúre a jeho texty sa považujú za veľmi vplyvné v oblasti tzv. drogovej literatúry.
