Long-term physiotherapy in a patient with multiple fractures and nerve injuries of the upper limb following a road accident: case report

Abstract:

This work analyzes the management of a patient suffering from injuries to the brachial plexus and multiple fractures at the level of the phalanges and at the level of the humerus following a road accident. After analyzing the anatomy and neurophysiology ofthe upper limbs, the most common injuries affecting the peripheral nervous system and the skeletal system will be described with particular attention to fractures involving the scapula, clavicle and humerus.

Abstract:

In questo lavorovengono analizzatila gestionedi un paziente affetto da lesioni a carico del plesso brachiale e da fratture multiple a livello delle falangi e a livello dell'omero a seguito di un incidentestradale.Dopoaver analizzato l'anatomia e la neurofisiologia degli arti superiori sarannodescritte le lesioni pi? comuni che riguardano il sistema nervoso perifericoed il sistema scheletrico con particolare attenzione alle fratture che coinvolgono la scapola, la clavicola e l'omero.
