The Relationship Boundaries between Social Workers and Users of Social Services

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pohledem pracovníků a klientů nízkoprahových zařízení pro děti a mládež na hranice vztahu v této sociální službě. Teoretická část vymezuje základní terminologii spojenou se zařízením, věnuje se charakteristice pracovníků a cílové skupiny. Především však pojednává o nezbytné součásti poskytování služby, čímž je vytvoření kvalitního vztahu s profesionálně nastavenými hranicemi. Představuje tvorbu hranic a s ní spojená úskalí, odhaluje způsoby možné ochrany. Na základě vymezení teoretických východisek zkoumané problematiky praktická část předkládá kvalitativní výzkum s cílem zjistit pohledy pracovníků a klientů vybraných zařízení na hranice vztahu v dané službě. Výzkum provedený prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů odhaluje, jak jsou hranice ve vztahu vnímány, jakým způsobem jsou nastavovány, co obnáší jejich udržování a vlivem jakých faktorů dochází k možnému překročení hranic.

Abstract:

The Masters Dissertation studies the relationship borders between social workers and their clinets in low-threshold facility for children and youth from the social workers and clients point of view. The theoretical part provides a basic terminology about the low trashold facility, characterizes the social workers same as the target group. Primarily, the dissertation focuses on the social service essential, which is the creation of the quality relationship with the professionally marked borders. The theoretical part introduces the creation of the borders same as it defines its problems. Further it reveals some possible ways of protection. The practical part provides the qualitative research, which is based on the knowledge acquired from the theoretical part. The aim of the research is to detect the socaial worker´s and client´s point of view on the relation borders in a selected social facility. The research undertaken by semi-structured interview reveals how the relation borders are perceived, how they are built, what involves the relation maintanance, or which factors influence the relation border crossing.
