Czech as a Foreign Language: Situation and Analysis of the Czech Language for Foreigners Course Offers and Programmes; Recommendation on Methods (Focus on Language Education of Adult Foreigners)

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce Čeština jako cizí jazyk je zmapování stávající situaci v poskytování kurzů českého jazyka, ve sféře jazykového vzdělávání dospělých cizinců. V teoretické části nabízí konkrétní analýzu dostupných zařízení, v rámci jejichž působnosti se kurzy českého jazyka v daných podmínkách uskutečňují. Reflektuje tři tradiční sektory demokratické společnosti: veřejný, soukromý a neziskový. Zabývá se osvědčeními o jazykových schopnostech, jazykovými zkouškami a uznáváním jazykových kompetencí v rámci integračního pole EU. V empirické části se snaží podat přímá metodická doporučení plynoucí ze stanovisek respondentů (cizinců), kteří jsou elementárním zdrojem kvalitativního výzkumu. Práce komparuje očekávané výstupy s reálnými pozitivními či negativními skutečnostmi v pojetí jazykového kurzu. K potvrzení hypotéz předběžné diskusní metody slouží vyhodnocení kvantitativní průzkumné ankety, jejíž témata se opírají o domény lokalizované ohniskovou skupinou.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis Czech as a foreign language is to map he current situation in providing courses of Czech language for foreigners in the sphere of educating adult foreigners. In the theoretical part it offers specific analysis of available establishments in which the courses of Czech language taka place under ceratin conditions. It reflect three traditional segments: public, private and nonprofit. It deals with certificates of language abilities, language tests and approbation of language competence within the integration field of EU. In the empiric part it tries to offer immediate methodic recommendation based on viewpoint of the respondants /foreigners/, who are the elementary source of the qualititative research. The thesis compares expected rise with realistic positive or negative facts in the approach of language courses. Toconfirm the hypothesis of preliminary discussion method the evaluation of quantitative survey interview is used. The themes of this survey are based on the range of the localized focus group.
