Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem dualismu v románu „Buddha z předměstí“ od spisovatele Hanifa Kureishiho. Práce se především soustředí na hlavního protagonistu knihy, Karima Amira, mladého anglicko-indického muže žijícího v Londýně v 70. letech 20. století, a jeho nejasnou identitu. Abstract:
This present bachelor thesis deals with the concept of dualism in the novel The Buddha of Suburbia by Hanif Kureishi. It mainly focuses on the novel’s main character Karim Amir, a young Anglo-Indian adult living in London of the 1970s, and his confused sense of identity.
