Stressful situations in the work of a midwife

Abstract:

Tématem předložené diplomové práce je metoda supervize využívaná při zátěžových situacích v práci porodní asistentky. Supervize je nástroj, který pomáhá rozvíjet dovednosti zejména v pomáhajících profesích. Mezi pomáhající profese se řadí lékaři, všeobecné sestry, porodní asistentky, sociální pracovníci, pedagogové aj. Smyslem supervize je poskytnout pracovníkovi dostatečnou psychickou pohodu a adekvátní podporu, díky kterým je pak schopen poskytovat kvalitnější péči svým klientům. V teoretické části jsou detailně popsány kapitoly týkající se profese porodní asistentky, supervize a zátěžové situace v porodní asistenci. V průzkumné části bylo hlavním cílem zjistit, jaké situace spojené s profesí vnímají oslovené porodní asistentky subjektivně jako zátěžové a v čem pro ně zátěž spočívá. Dalšími cíli bylo zjistit, nakolik vnímají respondentky zátěžové situace jako ovlivnitelné a následně bylo cílem vyselektovat situace, pro které by supervize mohla být vhodným nástrojem

Abstract:

The topic of the submitted diploma thesis is the method of supervision used in stressful situations in the work of a midwife. Supervision is a tool that helps to develop skills, especially in helping professions. The helping professions include doctors, general nurses, midwives, social workers, teachers, etc. The purpose of supervision is to provide the employee with sufficient mental well-being, thanks to which he is then able to provide better care to his clients. The theoretical part describes in detail the chapters related to the profession of midwife, supervision and stressful situations in obstetrics. In the exploratory part, the main goal was to find out what situations associated with the profession are perceived by the addressed midwives subjectively as stressful and what the burden is for them. Other goals were also to find out to what extent the respondents perceive stressful situations as manageable and subsequently the goal was to select situations for which supervision could be a suitable
