Uvedená diplomová práce se zabývá česko-německým festivalem Im Zentrum, a to v souvislosti s jedním z jeho cílů, stavět v srdci Evropy mosty prostřednictvím umění a kultury. První část práce se zaměřuje na roli kultury a umění v hledání a tvorbě cesty ke komunikaci a sbližování. Dále je zkoumán samotný festival Im Zentrum jako konkrétní nástroj ke stavění mostu.
