Payment and guarantee Instrument in international trade

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis deals with the payment and security systems within the international payment system. The first chapter defines the payment system itself and determines its legal regulations. It is followed by the payment system, divided according to parameters and categories which define individual instruments to secure international trade. It describes individual systems of the international payment system, correspondence banking, clearing system and Swift message. To a large extent, it analyses the selected instruments, documentary letter of credit, documentary collection, and bank guarantee with an overview regarding their differences. It categorizes instruments according to the type, describes development and their advantages and disadvantages. The final summary includes all the theoretical data collected at the time the first part of the thesis was under progress. The second chapter is divided into three basic sub-chapters which analyse the selected instruments. It defines the basic scope of instruments, compares the payment policy and describes how it is carried out in a simple way. It compares three banking institutes, Československá obchodná banka, a.s., Tatra banka, a.s., Všeobecná úverová banka, a.s. As a result of such analysis, the final part provides recommendations to the subjects that may eventually use the products, including advantages and disadvantages with regard to security instruments.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá platobnými a zabezpečovacími nástrojmi v medzinárodnom platobnom styku. Prvá kapitola charakterizuje samotný platobný styk a vymedzuje jeho právnu úpravu. Následne rozlišuje platobný styk podľa parametrov a kategórií, ktorými sú rozlišované jednotlivé nástroje zabezpečenia medzinárodného obchodu. Popisuje jednotlivé systémy medzinárodného platobného styku, korešpondenčné bankovníctvo, clearingový platobný styk a Swiftovú správu. V najväčšom rozsahu ponúka rozbor vybraných nástrojov, dokumentárny akreditív, dokumentárne inkaso, banková záruka, kde vytvára prehľad o rozdielnych charakteristických prvkoch. Triedi nástroje podľa druhov, popisuje ich priebeh a formuluje výhody a nevýhody. V záverečnom súhrne sú zahrnuté všetky teoretické údaje získane vypracovávaním prvej časti práce. Druhá kapitola je rozdelená do troch základných podkapitol, v ktorých sa jednotlivo venuje analýze vybraných zabezpečovacích nástrojov. Vymedzuje základný rozsah nástrojov, porovnáva poplatkovú politiku jednotlivých a jednoduchým spôsobom ponúka postupný priebeh realizácie. Porovnávané sú tri bankové inštitúcie, Československá obchodná banka, a.s., Tatra banka, a.s., Všeobecná úverová banka, a.s.. Vďaka týmto analýzam sú v záverečnej časti subjektom s potenciálnym využitím produktov predostreté formulácie odporúčaní spolu s výhodami a nevýhodami vzhľadom k využiteľnosti zabezpečovacích nástrojov.
