Comparison of consumer behavior in retail - Czech Republic and Finland

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá srovnáním spotřebitelského chování v České republice a ve Finsku. V závislosti na zjištěných datech je provedeno vyhodnocení a srovnání prezentovaných dat, které jsou následně shrnuty do syntézy. V teoretické části jsou obecně popsány faktory ovlivňující spotřebitelské chování, kupní rozhodovací proces a trh maloobchodu a jeho technologie. V praktické části jsou frekvenční a kontingenční analýzou a Chí-kvadrátem dobré shody vyhodnoceny výsledky dotazníkového šetření. Tato část obsahuje také srovnání pomocí vícekriteriálního rozhodování a porovnání pomocí intervalů. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty zjištěné výsledky, popsány společné a rozdílné charakteristiky a ověřeny stanovené předpoklady. Ve většině zkoumaných faktorů se mezi sebou spotřebitelské chování v zásadě neliší. Mezi odlišné faktory patřila např. výše disponibilních prostředků, využívání mobilních aplikací a způsob placení, jak v maloobchodních prodejnách, tak přes e-shopy.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the comparison of consumer behavior in the Czech Republic and Finland. According to the data found, the assessment and comparison of the presented data are made and thereafter the outcomes are summarized in the synthesis. The theoretical part is focused on the general description of the factors influencing consumer behavior, buying decision process, retail market and retail technologies. In the practical part, the results of the questionnaire survey are assessed by the frequency and contingency analysis and by the Chi-squared test. This section also contains comparisons using multi-criteria decision making and an interval comparison. Outputs are summed up into final results, common and different characteristics and verifying assumptions are conducted. In most of the examined factors the consumer behavior is similar. The different factors include, for example, the amount of funds available, the use of mobile apps and the way of payment, both in retail stores and through e-shops.
