The Phenomenon of the Teaching Profession in Kindergarten in the Visual Representations of Preschool Children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá fenoménem učitelské profese ve vizuálních reprezentacích dětí předškolního věku. Práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak děti předškolního věku pohlížejí na učitelskou profesi. Teoretická část se zabývá vývojem dítěte a kresby, dětskými prekoncepty a učitelskou profesí. V empirické části jsou prezentovány výsledky kvalitativně orientovaného výzkumu. Aktéry výzkumu byly děti ve věku 5-7 let. Získaná data byla sesbírána postupně prostřednictvím dvou metod, a to kresbou dětí a polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s dětmi předškolního věku. Z analýzy dat vyplynulo, že děti předškolního věku vnímají důležitost učitelky. Dále se do kreseb dětí velmi promítaly činnosti, které s dětmi vykonává učitel a na které klade důraz.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis deals with the phenomenon of the teaching profession in the visual representations of preschool children. The work has a theoretical-empirical character. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out how children of preschool age view the teaching profession. The theoretical part deals with child development and drawing, children´s preconceptions and the teaching profession. The results of qualitatively oriented research are presented in the empirical part. The actors of the research were children aged 5-7 years. The obtained data were collected gradually through two methods, namely children´s drawings and semi-structured interview with preschool children. The data analysis showed that children of preschool age perceive the importance of the teaching profession. Furthermore, the activities that the teacher performs with the children and on which he emphasizes were very much reflected in the children´s drawings.
