School Management nad Teachers´ Motivation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Školský management a profesní motivace učitelů" se zaměřuje na důležitost profesní motivace učitelů. Teoretická část práce se skládá ze tří kapitol. První kapitolu věnuji profesi učitele, kterou rozpracovávám na příslušné typologie, profesní role, činnosti a kompetence učitelů. Druhá kapitola je orientovaná na profesní motivaci učitelů a třetí kapitola je zaměřena na školský management. Zde jsem se snažila management vycházející z ekonomické sféry aplikovat na prostředí školy ve všech jeho složkách. Cílem empirické části je zjistit od vybraných učitelů 1. a 2. stupně základních škol, jaké aspekty pracovního prostředí a spokojenosti v profesi reálně zažívají a v jaké míře jsou tyto aspekty pro ně motivující. Na základě výsledků výzkumného šetření dále odpovídám na sedm klíčových otázek, které souvisejí s profesní motivací učitelů - nejen z pohledu učitelů, ale také ředitelů dotazovaných škol. Na základě teoretické části, týkající se managementu a výsledků empirické části, by má diplomová práce mohla sloužit jako impulz pro vytvoření případného motivačního programu. Program obsahující manažerské techniky a prvky managementu, které by bylo možno uplatnit ve školství jako motivační strategii pro učitele.

Abstract:

The thesis "School management and a professional teachers motivation" is focused on the importance of the professional motivation of teachers. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. I dedicade the first one to a teacher profession which I elaborate onto relevant typologies, professional roles, activities and a competence of teachers. The second chapter is oriented on the professional motivation of teachers and the third chapter focuses on school management. At this point, I tried to apply the manage-ment based on an economic sphere to the school environment in all its components. The objective of the emphirical part is to find out, from selected teachers of the 1st and 2nd level of elementary schools, what aspects of the work environment and satisfaction in the profession do they experience in reality and to what extent do these aspects motivate them. Based on the results of the research, i therefore answer seven key questions related to the professional motivation of teachers, not only from the perspective of the teachers but also from the directors of the selected, questioned schools. Based on the theoretical part relating to the management and resulsts of the empirical part, my thesis could serve as an impulse for creation of a potential motivational program. A program containing management techniques and management elements that could be used in the education as a motivational strategy for teachers.
