Perceived Closeness of the Teacher-Pupil Relationship at 1st Year of Primary School

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá percipovanou neboli vnímanou blízkostí mezi učitelem a žáky na prvním stupni základních škol. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaký je rozdíl v hodnocení učitele žáky a učitele sebe samého. S vnímanou blízkostí souvisí vztah učitele a žáků, který je popsán v teoretické části. Aby byly vztahy ve školní třídě kladné, záleží na prostředí a třídním klimatu, které je také objasněno. Posledním bodem teoretické části je role komunikace v utváření vztahu a blízkosti mezi učitelem a žáky. Pro zjištění a porovnání vnímané blízkosti mezi učitelem a žáky byla zvolena výzkumná metoda dotazníkového šetření, doplněná o Mann-Whitneyův U-Test. Díky těmto metodám bylo zjištěno, že se učitelé, oproti hodnocení žáků, nadhodnocují. Pomocí Mann-Whitneyova Testu bylo zjištěno, že se z hlediska pohlaví neobjevují značné rozdíly ve vnímané blízkosti mezi učitelem a žáky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is about the perceived closeness between the teacher and pupils at 1st grade of primary schools. The aim of the work is to find out what is the difference in the evaluation of the teacher by the students and the teacher himself. Perceived closeness is related to the relationship between teacher and students, which is described in the theoretical part. In order for the relationships in the school classroom to be positive, it depends on the environment and the classroom climate, which is also described. The last point of the theoretical part is the role of communication in shaping the relationship and closeness between the teacher and the students. For find out and compare the perceived closeness between the teacher and the students, was selected the research method of questionnaire survey, supplemented with the Mann-Whitney U-Test. Based on that was found that teachers evaluation is positive versus student's evaluations. Using the Mann-Whitney Test, it was found that there are no significant differences in the perceived closeness between the teacher and the students in terms of gender.
