Private travel insurance and its possibilities in regards of Czech Republic joining the European Union

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Soukromé cestovní pojištění a jeho možnosti po vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie“ se zabývá praktickými možnostmi změn produktů na trhu soukromého cestovního pojištění v Evropské unii vycházejících z možnosti kombinace veřejného zdravotního pojištění s komerčním cestovním pojištěním léčebných výloh. Cílem této práce je po analýze způsobu úhrad za poskytovanou zdravotní péči v členských státech Evropské unie navrhnout nový produkt, který vychází z výše uvedené možnosti kombinace soukromého cestovního pojištění léčebných výloh a veřejného zdravotního pojištění občanů České republiky cestujících do ostatních států Evropské unie, zhodnotit klady a zápory takového produktu a z toho plynoucí konkurenceschopnost produktu na trhu cestovního pojištění v České republice. Vstupy do praktické části práce týkající se nákladů na ošetření v jednotlivých členských státech Evropské unie jsou především z veřejně dostupných informací Centra mezistátních úhrad ČR a informací pojišťoven. Odhady na výši pojistného plnění z cestovního pojištění léčebných výloh vycházejí z cen za poskytnutou zdravotní péči ve vybraných, turisticky atraktivních, lokalitách Evropské unie dle ceníků zdravotnických zařízení.

Abstract:

Abstract „Private travel insurance and its possibilities in regards of Czech Republic joining the European Union“ thesis is aimed on changes in the european private insurance field caused by the possibility to combine private and public health insurance. The target of this thesis is to design a new product advantaging from the combinig possibility mentioned above analysing different payment policies of the private health travel insurance and public health insurance of the Czech citizens traveling in the European Union. Also evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of such a product and its conmpetitive strenght in the area of travel insurance in the Czech Republic The data in the practical part of the thesis have been entered with the use of “international payments center” as well as the insurance companies information. The estimation of the travel health insurance benefits is based on the prices of selected attractive localities all around European Union.
