Theatre and I, or I don't want to bother the role with my neurosis

Abstract:

Tato práce je autentickou reflexí obsedantně kompulzivní poruchy autora-herce. Autor zde ukazuje neurotické obtíže jako zdroj silných hereckých bloků. Navrhuje a sám na sobě ověřuje způsoby, jak neutralizovat negativní vliv psychických problémů v jevištní praxi. Práce a zkušenosti v ní popsané cílí především na profesionální herce, kteří se potýkají s neurózou, ale nikdy se nepokusili ji léčit. Samotná práce však žádném případě neslouží jako terapie. Ukazuje pouze cestu, jak se zbavit velmi specifických bloků, o kterých se herecká didaktická literatura přímo nezmiňuje.

Abstract:

This thesis is an authentic reflection on the Obsessive-compulsive disorder of the author-actor. He shows neurotic problems as a source of serious actor's blocks. He suggests and personally verifies ways to neutralize the negative influence of mental issues in theatrical practice. The thesis and experience described aims primarily at professional actors who struggle with neurosis, but never sought any treatment. However, the thesis itself is by no means meant as a therapy. It merely shows a way to get rid of specific blocks that are not directly described in actor's didactic literature.
