Motivation and the effectivity of games in education in chemistry in basic school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá motivací žáků ve výuce chemie pomocí her s chemickou tématikou a jejich využitím pro výuku chemie na základní škole. V teoretické části je rozebrána motivace, metody, formy výuky a uplatnění her ve výuce. Hlavním smyslem praktické části předložené diplomové práce bylo využít chemické hry a pracovní listy v hodinách chemického kroužku a sledovat jejich účinnost. Analýza výsledků za pomoci pretestů a posttestů ukázala rozdílnost znalostí žáků před a po zařazení chemických her do výuky. Závěrem experimentu bylo sestavit dotazník k chemickým hrám a pomocí této metody zjistit preference žáků.

Abstract:

The thesis is based on the aspects of students motivation in chemistry by using games having regard to an aplication in school education. The theoretical part concerns the motivation, the methods, the forms of education and the aplication of games in education. The main aim of the practical part was the employing games focused on the chemistry and the work sheets during the lessons while evaluating the effectiveness. The analysis of the results by using the pretests and the posttests showed the difference of the knowledge between students before and after applying the games in the education. The conclusion of the whole experiment was to compose a questionnaire related to the games focused on the chemistry and to find out the preferences of the students by using this method.
