The Role of the Police of the Czech Republic in Crime Prevention

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na činnost policie v prevenci kriminality. Jsou zde definovány pojmy jako policie, zákon o policii a úkoly policie. Práce se zároveň zabývá Policií České republiky jako takové, specifikuje její působnost a úkoly. Stěžejní část práce popisuje stav kriminality v Olomouckém kraji a návrhy na zlepšení. Výsledky analýzy kriminality v kraji jsou dále rozebírány zároveň pomocí grafů. Součástí této práce je také úloha státu v prevenci kriminality. Práce dále předkládá stav, vývoj a struktury kriminality v letech 2016-2020 na území Olomouckého kraje. Součástí práce je také výzkumná sonda, jež je zaměřena na povědomí a názory studentů Střední odborné školy v Hranicích na Moravě, a to oboru Bezpečnostně právní činnost. Cílem sondy je zjistit orientaci studentů v kriminálních statistikách a jejich náhled na práci státní a městské policie v Olomouckém kraji.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the activities of the police in crime prevention. Terms such as police, law and police tasks are defined here. The thesis also deals with the Police of the Czech republic as such, indicates its scope and tasks. The main part of the thesis describes the state of crime in the Olomouc region and suggestions for improvement. The results of the analysis of crime in the region are futher analyzed at the same time using graphs. Part of this work i also the role of the state in crime prevention. The thesis also presents the state, development and structure of the crime in the years 2016-2020 in the Olomouc region. Part of the thesis i also a research probe, which is focused on the awareness and opinions of students of the secondary vocational school in Hranice in Moravia, namely the field of Security and law. The aim of the probe is to find out the orientation of students in criminal statistics and their insight into the work of the state and city police in the Olomouc region.
