Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Etika v práci s umírajícími a jejich blízkými pohledem pomáhajících pracovníků“ pojednává o vnímání smrti v kontextu života. Je to jeden z fenoménů, podobně, jako čas, který nemůžeme ošidit, naplánovat (pokud vynechám sebevraždu), odhadnout její příchod a neodhadneme ani pocity, které nás budou provázet. Ať už při naší konfrontaci se smrtí někoho blízkého, nebo při smrti nás samých. V kontextu sociální pedagogiky vnímám smrt jako jeden faktorů, se kterým bychom měli umět pracovat a zacházet. Jako velkou výzvu sociální pedagogiky vnímám i pokus o změnu v komunikaci o smrti. Naučit lidi o ní mluvit, odbourat toto téma jako tabu mezi rodiči a dětmi. Vnímám jako velmi důležité, abychom smrt dokázali pojmenovat, pracovat s traumaty, které přináší, ale také ji vnímali jako součást života. Aby i rodiče dokázali pracovat s myšlenkou své smrtelnosti a dokázali otevřeně svým dětem říct, zda a jak je případně zabezpečili, přemýšleli o možnosti své smrtelnosti a tedy i věcech praktických, jako je vypořádání majetku, poslední vůle či různá přání. A věřím, že s vědomím vlastní smrtelnosti, ale současně otevřenosti a připravenosti, se pokusíme lidem pomáhat se vyrovnat se smrtí, lidem, kteří jsou nemocní, pracovat s vyrovnáním se a zvládáním strachu a vlastně nám všem toto téma odtabuizovat. Cílem diplomové práce bylo popsat a vysvětlit fenomén smrti, postoje nemocných, jejich blízkých i pomáhajících pracovníků k posledním dnům člověka, k vnímání smrti ve společnosti a k etice personálu geriatrických zařízení. Diplomová práce začíná poněkud netradičně – předmluvou. Zvolila jsem formu fejetonu a pokusila se popsat příběh umírání, rozloučení se, pomoci a truchlení. Poté jsem diplomovou práci rozčlenila na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část popisuje témata rituálů, etiky, víry, postoje ošetřujících. Tato teoretická část vychází z empirického výzkumu, ve kterém jsem metodou IPA zanalyzovala a zinterpretovala data z polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se třemi informanty. Diplomová práce je zakončena závěrečným shrnutím, polemikou a diskusí. Poslední částí je polemika a diskuse navazující na reflexi vlastní zkušenosti. Pro úplnost a věrohodnost jsem přiložila celé znění rozhovorů.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Ethics of working with dying people and their closed family from the care assistants perspective“ is about dealing with death as a part of life. It’s one of the phenomena we can’t cheat on, plan (suicides excluded), estimate its arrival and unexpected feelings accompanied by our death or death of someone close to our heart. I take the death as one of the factors we should be working and dealing with in terms of social pedagogy. I also sence a big challenge for social pedagogy in trying to change the communication about death. Teach people to speak about it and break the taboo between parents and their children. In my opinion it is important to welcome death as the part of our life as well as name the death and work with traumas coming with it. Parents should be dealing with the idea of own mortality and in advance prepare practical side of the death such as the last will and testament, all sorts of wishes and explain kids the setting of life after their departure. With awareness of our own mortality we are able to help other people to deal with the death and the fear of dying. I’m not talking only about helping people who are sick to death but about all of us and about breaking the taboo for good throughout entire society. The aim of the thesis was to describe and explain the phenomenon of death, attitudes of patients, their relatives and helping staff to the last days of man, the perception of death in society and the ethics staff geriatric facilities. Diploma thesis begins with a somewhat unusual - a preface. I chose the form of essay and tried to describe the story of dying farewell to assist and mourning. Then I divided this thesis into theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part discusses topics rituals, ethics, beliefs, attitudes attending. This theoretical part is based on empirical research, in which I am using IPA and zinterpretovala analyzed data from interviews with three informants. The thesis is concluded with a final summary, controversy and debate. The last part is a polemic and discussion following the reflection of their own experience. For completeness and plausibility, I put the whole text of the interview.
