Ranking of Selected Supportative Measures in Relation to Education of Socially Disadvantaged Children by Secondary School Pupils

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je tematicky orientována na problematiku hodnocení vybraných postupů v oblasti podpory dětí žijících v sociálně znevýhodněném prostředí v oblasti vzdělávání, a to z pohledu žáků ukončujících povinnou školní docházku na základní škole či víceletém gymnáziu. Teoretická východiska práce jsou orientována na problematiku sociální stratifikace, sociálního vyloučení, charakteristiku sociálně vyloučených lokalit a důsledků života v tomto prostředí na vzdělávání. Pozornost je věnována rovněž problematice multikulturní výchovy a výchovy k toleranci a respektu k odlišnosti. Empirická část práce je zaměřena na prezentaci výsledků výzkumného šetření zacíleného na analýzu hodnocení vybraných postupů v oblasti podpory dětí žijících v sociálně znevýhodněném prostředí v oblasti vzdělávání, a to z pohledu z pohledu žáků základních škol či víceletých gymnázií. Data byla získávána s využitím nestandardizovaného výzkumného nástroje s využitím situačního přístupu, charakteristikou vybraných prvků podpory a hodnotícími škálami a kvalitativním hodnocením jednotlivých opatření. Výstupem práce jsou doporučení práce se žáky v oblasti multikulturní výchovy a výchovy k toleranci a respektu k odlišnosti.

Abstract:

The Diploma Thesis is thematically oriented to the issue of the assessment of the selected procedures in the support of children living in a socially disadvantageous environment in the area of education, from the point of view of pupils completing compulsory school attendance at basic school or multiple year grammar school. The theoretical grounds of the thesis are oriented to the issue of social stratification, social exclusion, characteristics of socially excluded locations and consequences of life in such environment to education. Attention is also paid to the issue of multicultural education and education towards tolerance and respect to diversity. The empiric part of the thesis is aimed at the presentation of the results of research survey focused on an analysis of the assessment of the selected procedures in the support of children living in socially disadvantageous environment in the area of education, from the point of view of pupils of basic schools and multiple year grammar schools. The data was obtained with the use of a non-standardized research tool with the use of the situation approach, characteristics of the selected elements of support and assessment scales and qualitative assessment of the individual measures. The output of the thesis comprises recommendations for work with pupils in multicultural education and education towards tolerance and respect to diversity.
