Analysis of the Use of the Hotelstars Union's Official Unified Classification in Hotels

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tematikou Oficiální jednotné klasifikace Hotelstars Union a jejím využitím v kontextu českého hotelnictví. V teoretické části práce je popisován význam a smysl zavedení klasifikačních systémů, zejména Hotelstars a jeho specifika na území České republiky. Dále je mapován historický vývoj Hotelstars Union a s ní spojené Oficiální klasifikace. Součástí je rovněž popis kategorizace a klasifikace ubytovacích zařízení, s čímž souvisí také typologie těchto zařízení a jimi poskytovaných služeb, na češ navazuje samotný proces certifikace. Metodologická část práce formuluje cíle, postupy a strategie zvolených výzkumných metod. V praktické části jsou následně provedeny rozbory a vyhodnocení uskutečněných výzkumů, které se zaobíraly reálným uplatněním klasifikačního systému Hotelstars v praxi a identifikací potenciálních přínosů či omezení tohoto systému. Na základě těchto výzkumů je poté zpracována závěrečná část práce zahrnující návrhy a doporučení, které by mohly vést ke zlepšení systému Hotelstars.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the Official Unified Classification of Hotelstars Union and its use in the context of the Czech hotel industry. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the meaning and purpose of implementing classification systems, especially Hotelstars, and its specifics in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the historical development of the Hotelstars Union and the associated Official Classification is mapped. A description of the categorization and classification of accommodation establishments is also included, which is related to the typology of these establishments and their services, followed by the certification process itself. The thesis's methodological part formulates the chosen research methods' objectives, procedures, and strategies. In the practical part, the analyses and evaluations of the conducted research are carried out, which addressed the real application of the Hotelstars classification system in practice and the identification of potential benefits or limitations of this system. As a result of this research, the final part of the thesis is presented, including suggestions and recommendations that could lead to the improvement of the Hotelstars system.
