This diploma thesis deals with the topic of authority and political obligation. First, it analyzes the concept of legal authority using Joseph Raz’s theory, the so-called service conception. Then, it examines the legitimacy of different kinds of authority and the existence of political obligation from the point of view of philosophical anarchism.
