Práce se zabývá konfliktem Tutsiů a Hutuů, který se odehrával v 90. letech ve Rwandě, jeho historickými příčinami, průběhem a rolí mezinárodního společenství při jeho řešení. Pozornost je zaměřena zejména na roli OSN při řešení tohoto konfliktu -- na analýzu působení mírové mise OSN, podmínek jejího ustanovení, vymezení jejího mandátu a dalších faktorů, které vedly k jejímu neúspěchu. The thesis deals with conflict between Tutsis and Hutus, which took place in the 90s in Rwanda, its historical causes, the process and the role of the international community in its solution.
