Emergency Crew Activity at the Scene of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in the Liberec Region

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je postup a spolupráce činnosti členů výjezdové skupiny rychlé zdravotnické pomoci a lékařské výjezdové skupiny v systému rendez – vous u pacienta postiženého náhlou zástavou oběhu. Práce je členěná na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část představuje výjezdové skupiny zdravotnické záchranné služby, popisuje postup provádění základní kardiopulmonální resuscitace laickou veřejností i rozšířené kardiopulmonální resuscitace prováděné profesionálními zachránci, uvádí příčiny, které způsobují náhlou zástavu oběhu, a poukazuje na podstatu řetězce přežití. V praktické části byly provedeny rozhovory se zaměstnanci výjezdových skupin Zdravotnické záchranné služby Libereckého kraje. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, jaké aspekty kardiopulmonální resuscitace ovlivňuje pravidelné týmové školení zdravotnických záchranářů. Při náhlé zástavě oběhu jde především o čas a rychlou přednemocniční neodkladnou péči. Je důležité ovládat rozšířenou kardiopulmonální resuscitaci nejen teoreticky, ale také na ní být prakticky připraven nácvikem ve spolupráci se zasahujícími kolegy tak, aby každý samostatně věděl, jak má jednat u pacienta postiženého náhlou zástavou oběhu.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the procedure and cooperation of the activities within the Emergency Medical Team (EMT) between emergency medical responders (EMR) and emergency medical technicians or paramedics within the rendezvous system of a patient affected by sudden circulatory arrest. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces outgoing EMTs. Then, it describes the procedure of basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the general public and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation performed by professional rescuers. It states the causes of sudden arrest of circulation and points out the chain of survival. In the practical part, I conducted interviews with employees from the Emergency Medical Teams from the Liberec Region. The aim of the practical part is to reveal which aspects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation are influenced by regular team training of paramedics. In the event of sudden circultory arrest, it is primarily about reaction time and quick pre-hospital care. It is imperative to master extended cardiopulmonary resuscitation not only in theory, but also in practice. Being prepared by practicing in collaboration with intervening colleagues, to the extent that each person knows how to act with a patient affected by sudden cardiac arrest.
